Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, plan to run from Al Qaeda

Al Qaeda has announced that there are 12,000 Al Qaeda fighters in Iraq. Even assuming that this number is an exaggeration, it is beyond dispute that Al Qaeda maintains a major presence in Iraq.

I think even Matt Lauer's teleprompter will agree that it was Al Qaeda that deystroyed lower Manhattan and was responsible for 3,000 American deaths on September 11, 2001.

So the enemy that attacked us on September 11 has thousands of soldiers in Iraq. If there ever was a place for American soldiers to be, Iraq is that place. We should be wherever Al Qaeda is. We should attack them at every opportunity. Otherwise, we invite more attacks. This argument used to be self-evident and did not need even to be stated in the immediate aftermath of 9-11.

But Nancy Pelosi now says that the war in Iraq is "not a war to be won but a situation to be solved."

We are not at war, Al Qaeda is not an enemy, a retreat is not a retreat.

Pelosi sees the enemy that attacked us on 9-11, and does not understand that we are at war or that we should win. Instead, she and the Democrats will push for a retreat.

It would have been inconceivable, on September 11th 2001, that elected officials would one day force 150,000 American soldiers to retreat in the face of a few thousand of bin Laden's soldiers.

The MSM/DNC provides no reason for this proposed retreat, except for the fact that the issue has become so clouded by collateral nonsense after five years. The American people, even now, would not stand for a retreat in the face of the perpretators of 9-11. That is why the MSM/DNC defines this retreat in other terms and refuses to draw the connection between Al Qaeda and the fighting in Iraq. It is not even clear the extent to which the general public is aware that we are fighting and killing Al Qaeda soldiers in Iraq. America's Democrat-led retreat from the perpretators of 9-11 is being hidden in plain sight.
